It’s no surprise that every Christmas season, we look forward to Nana’s Christmas cookies.  Her ginger snaps are some of our favorites.  Ingredients set this recipe apart.  From our pasture-raised eggs, to dark molasses, clove and ginger, the fragrance and taste take us on a trip down nostalgia lane every season.  It’s Christmas in a bite!

Ingredients

Step 1

Cream butter and sugar.

Step 2

Add molasses and cream well.

Step 3

Add egg and beat well.

Step 4

Sift flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger.

Step 5

Blend and chill.

Step 6

Roll into balls in sugar.

Step 7

Bake 10 minutes at 375.

1 Farmers Hen House egg

3/4 cup butter

1 cup of granulated sugar

1/4 cup of dark molasses

2 cups of flour (can substitute gluten-free flour)

1/2 tsp salt

2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp cloves

1 tsp ginger
